ABOUT US
It was over a cup of great coffee that Zara and Zara Design Studio was realized by two close friends who wanted to make waves in the architectural community. A female-led venture, the studio focuses on curating contextually relevant, customized designs specific to the user's needs and requirements. The studio firmly believes that the spaces we inhabit are an extension of our existence, and its imperative to design them through deep understanding and a nurturing outlook.
As a team, they are huge advocates of women representation in the local Architecture Community and want to create opportunities for the newcomers to explore their creativity in the design realm.
ZARA FAROOQ
PRINCIPAL ARCHITECT
A graduate of Parsons School of Design, one of the highest ranked Programs, Zara Farooq has always been a keen observer of how spaces influence human behavior and their impact on the sub-conscience. Over the years, she has developed a strong sense of design influenced by the interaction and relationship between the user and architecture.
ZARA BHATTI
PRINCIPAL ARCHITECT
An Ivy League graduate, Zara Bhatti completed her Masters from University of Pennsylvania where she developed her design approach of finding the symbiosis between old and new. As a designer, she is a firm believer of contextual influences on her creations and the need for a more socially responsible architectural approach
RIMSHA NASIR
LEAD INTERIOR ARCHITECT
With the collective experience of 5 yrs in the field, Rimsha comes from a strong background in interiors with a BA(hons) in Interior Architecture from Curtin University, Australia. Rimsha strives for the balance between the complex and the simple with the use of timeless aesthetics in her work.
SYED QAISER MUMTAZ
LEAD ARCHITECT
After graduating with a Bachelors of Architecture from NUST's School of Art, Design and Architecture in 2020, Qaiser is engaged in his second year of pursuing a career in Architecture. His other interests include 2D and 3D animation, VFX and film making.
FATIMA ASAD
ARCHITECT
A recent Bachelor's graduate of NUST's School of Art, Design, and Architecture, Fatima applies a contemporary, modern touch to her projects at the studio while learning the ropes of the current professional landscape in Pakistan. In her free time, Fatima likes to keep busy with her other artistic pursuits of graphic design, illustrations, and journaling.
GHANIYA MUNAWAR
ARCHITECT
To pursue her keen interest in design coupled with her problem-solving ability, Ghaniya opted to complete her Bachelors in Architecture from SADA, NUST.
With the experience she aims to gain at Z&Z, her goal is to polish her existing skills and implement her learnings from her degree to innovate the design space.

OFFICE MANAGER

ALI RAZA
OFFICE MANAGER
In times of crisis, Ali is the studio's designated problem-solver. Whether it's a last-minute printout, sample pick-up, or deadline submission, Ali keeps his cool and gets the job done. When he's not busy making the best cup of tea, he can be found practicing his drafting skills on CAD.
AZEEM SOHAIL
DRAFTSMAN
Azeem has been working in the Architectural field since 2004. For five years, Azeem has been an integral part of the studio 's team and has lent his drafting capabilities in both large-scale commercial projects to small-scale residential projects.
KHURRAM SHAHZAD
EXECUTION SPECIALIST
Working professionally since 2011, Khurram has a keen understanding of building materials, market prices, and quality assurance. Each project at the studio is run through Khurram's expertise during the execution phases so that any external setback can be promptly mitigated.
